Blog Pimping 101- aka In-Class Assignment for 10/18
1. A content feed is a service you sign up for that brings information from a subject you're following directly to you.
b. RSS and Twitter feeds
c. They do not depend on a user going and regularly hunting for your information- it comes right to them once they subscribe to your feed
d. Name 3 sites you can subscribe by content feeds (give address)
e. Subscribe to a feed reader, which automatically delivers all the updates a subscribed site puts out right to you.
f. Google Reader, Mozilla Firefox, Sleipnir
g. Wikipedia, as always, delivers. Fun fact discovered from here: More and more portable media devices, like iPods, are becoming capable of delivering feeds.
2. You can always follow the blogger's Twitter or Facebook... using an RSS feed seems to be the simplest and most popular method, however.
3. All-time favorite: That Guy With The Glasses. Lots of bloggers and media reviewers all in one place!
